Tri-Town Swim Team
What: Registrations for the Tri-Town Swim
Team will hold registrations and later a pool party for all
registered swimmers. Registration Fees: $30 for the first
swimmer in family; $25 for the second swimmer in family; $20 for
all other swimmers in family. For more information contact

begins practice in June and competes in 8 dual meets during June
& July.

Relay for Life
What:
The fourth annual American Cancer Society Williamsport Area
All-Youth Relay for Life will be held. Congressman Chris Carney
(D.-PA-10th), a cancer survivor, will be the keynote
speaker.

Composting Workshops
What: Backyard composting workshops will
be conducted by Lycoming County Master Gardeners, volunteers for
Penn State Cooperative Extension. To register call 323-4040 or
433-3040. Attend the workshop for the first time and receive a
free compost bin.

Look Good…Feel Better
What: The American Cancer Society will be
a yearlong a Look Good…Feel Better program. Look Good…Feel
Better is a program in which volunteer beauty professionals
teach women with cancer how to deal with some of the side

Horse Rescue Open House
What: Appalachian Horse Help & Rescue
will hold an Open House featuring our great facility and

Bike Camp
What:
The Jersey Shore Summer Recreation Program will again be
offering a Rails-to-Trails bike camp June 16 through 19 for
middle school boys from the Jersey Shore School District.
Canoeing, camping, biking 62 miles, and learning about the
geology and history of the Pine Creek Valley is on the agenda.
There is no cost. Registration forms can be obtained by calling

Spring Carnival
What: The Williamsport High School
Marching Millionaire Band Parent's Association will host a
spring carnival. No entrance fee. Tickets for the rides can be
purchased on site. The event features carnival rides, concession
stands, freshly made funnel cakes, games and entertainment. All
funds raised will support Williamsport Area High School's
Marching Millionaires Band. The Marching Millionaires are the
pride of the City of Williamsport. This innovative program
provides students the opportunity to participate in the art form
that combines musicianship and athleticism.

School Fundraiser
What:
The Elimsport Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization will
hold its fourth annual Dodge Drive for the Kids fundraiser.
Sponsored by Dodge the event offers the opportunity to test
drive a new Dodge vehicle on site and $5 will be donated to the
school. Hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries, baked goods and more
will be available

Tractor Parade and Chicken BBQ
What: The Rauchtown Nippenose Valley
Lions will be holding their 4th annual Tractor Parade and
Chicken BBQ. The public is welcome to come see the tractors at
the park and along the tour route. Both breakfast and lunch at
the park are open to the public and will help raise funds for

3 on 3 Basketball Tournament
What: The family of Shaun Gearhart will
be hosting the 2nd Annual “Streetmoves” Memorial 3 on 3
basketball tournament. The cost to enter the tournament is $30
per team. All teams must have 3 players and no more than 5
players. There are 4 divisions: Male Open Division, Male
Intermediate Division (All players ages 15-18), Male Youth
Division (Age 14 and under), and Female Open Division. ” Please

the Shaun “Streetmoves” Gearhart Memorial Scholarship Fund,
which is given to a Hughesville High School senior.

Audubon Book Sale/Auction
What: The Lycoming Audubon Society will
offer a book sale and silent auction and potluck dinner. The
dinner will take place from 6 to 7 p.m., and the program that
follows at 8 p.m. will feature Dave Shollenberger's photographic
presentation on African wildlife. The public is welcome to
attend the book sale/auction, dinner and program. Those
attending the potluck dinner are asked to bring a dish to share,
as well as their own plates, cups and tableware.

Memorial Benefit Ride
What: The Masonic Motorcycle Club,
Chapter 38, will hold the 2nd annual MSG Sean M. Thomas Ride. In
the two years that Chapter 38 has held benefit rides and events
they have raised more than $15,000. Money raised at this event
will go into an education fund for the daughter of MSG Sean M.
Thomas, La Fayette Lodge No.199, Lock Haven, who was killed on
March 27, 2007 while serving in Iraq.

Summer Music Program
What: Saint John’s School of the Arts
will be offering a Woodwind Chamber Music Program this summer

Historical Society Tour
What: General John Burrows Historical
Society will meet at the Historical House & walk to 113 N.
Washington Street where Robert Gehr, licensed architect, will
conduct a tour of the restoration and discuss the importance
preserving local architecture.† This property has had a nearly
complete restoration of the house and the "barn" - the barn
previously served as Jake Harmon's butcher shop and provided
beef locally.† Barn boards from this property were used to make
ther outhouse at the Historical House.

What: "The World We Live In" A K-12
display, showcasing examples of our Discipline Based Art

Performances...
Brass Bands Concert
What: The New York Staff Band (NYSB), one
of the foremost brass bands in The Salvation Army, will join The
Billtown Brass in an historic free concert . The NYSB was
established in 1887 to bring attention to the Salvation Army's
early ministry in the United States. In the 1920s the band
assumed the current name of the New York Staff Band to denote
that its musicians. The Billtown Brass is conducted by Rick
Coulter and functions within the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra
organization. Admission is free with ticket; donations will be
accepted, with "excess funds" to go to the Salvation Army Youth
Program. Tickets are available in Williamsport at Otto's
Bookstore, Robert M. Sides Family Music Center, the Salvation
Army office and the Williamsport Symphony office.
