Chinese Auction

What: A Chinese Auction with all proceeds to be donated to the Children's Miracle Network. All donations are from local businesses. For every sheet of tickets that you purchase you will receive 1 ticket for the door prize. Also 50/50 and raffles.

When: Saturday Jan. 14, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

King Day of Service Celebration

What: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Celebration

(Walk for Service and special program, sponsored by STEP’s Community Connect AmeriCorps and Lycoming College). Walk for Service begins at 10:00, and ends at Lycoming College Recreation Center; program to follow starting at 11:00.

Event includes: Walk for Service, trivia contest, guest speakers, volunteer opportunity displays, prizes, activities for children and refreshments.

When: Mon., January 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Walk registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Campbell Street Family, Youth and Community Center, Memorial Ave.

What: Woolrich Little league will hold its’ annual registration.

When: Wednesday, January 11 and Wednesday, January 18 from from 6 to 8 pm

Where: Wayne Township Firehall, Woolrich.

Spaghetti & Meatball Dinner

What: Pennsdale Vol. Fire Company will host a Spaghetti & Meatball Dinner. $7.00 Adults/ $5.00 (Children under 10). Take out or eat in. Meal includes salad, spaghetti & meatballs, garlic bread and dessert.

When: Sat., Jaunary 14 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Where: At the firehall, 261 Village Road, Pennsdale.

What: Boy Scout Troop 172 spaghetti dinner. Adults $7.00; Children under 12, $5.00.

Vegetarian Spaghetti Supper

What: Mountain View Christian School will host a Vegetarian Spaghetti Supper with Live Entertainment  $6.00/person. Families of 3 or more $5.00/person. Event supports housing needs for a family of six.

When: Sunday, January 15 at 5:30 p.m.

Grief Support Group

What: Pine Street United Methodist Church offers "Grief Share Support Group Study" (recent or non-recent loss).  For information or registration please call church ofc. 323-4604 by Jan. 13.

When: 13 consecutive weeks beginning Wed. Jan. 18th from 7 to 9 p.m.

Spaghetti Dinner

What: Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church is hosting a Spaghetti meal featuring sauce, garlic bread, salad, and Italian Ice. All are welcome. Adult dinners are $8, $4 for children 4-8.

When: Sat., January 14 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Gosspel Music

What: Lynn Swizinsky will perform in concert.

History of Lycoming College

What: Following a covered dish dinner, The Friday Nighters, a social group at Pine Street Church, will present Dr. John Piper, Professor of History and author of the book "Lycoming College 1812-2012", who will enlighten us on the 200 year history of Lycoming College. In his talk, "Into The Third Century". Dr. Piper will discuss the five different colleges, accomplishments of various presidents, offer pictures of the historic buildings, and Lycoming's new classification as a National Liberal Arts College  Many Williamsporters have ties to the college. Everyone is welcome.. Bring a dish to share; offering is $3.00. Please register with the church office 323-4604.

Pancake Breakfast

What: St Matthew Lutheran Church will host a pancake breakfast featuring all-you-can-eat pancakes, eggs to order, sausage or bacon, juice and coffee. Donation $7.00 Adults, $4.50 Children under 12, and free for children under 6.

When: Sat., January 21 from 7 to 10 a.m.

Pancake Breakfast

What: Pancake Breakfast with a menu consisting of pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit salad and beverage. Cost: Donation. Proceeds to benefit youth attending the 2012 ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans.

When: Saturday, January 21 from 7 to 11 a.m.

Meatloaf Dinner

What: St. John's-Newberry Church will host a Meatloaf and Baked Potato Dinner w/2 vegetables and 2 sides, roll & dessert. Adults $8.00, Children ages 6-10 $4.00, under 6 are free. Take Outs available.

When: Saturday, January 21 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Where: St. John's-Newberry Church, 2101 Newberry Street, Williamsport.

Free Lunch

What: Shepherd’s Community Kitchen will be offering their free lunch . Further information, contact the church at 538-1017 or Linda Smith at 538-9373.

When: Saturday, January 28 starting at 11 a.m.

Where: Watsontown United Methodist Church, 1319 Eighth Street Drive, Watsontown.

Kidz Club

What: Fairlawn Community Church will host its Kidz Club for ages 2 years - 6th grade. Kidz club is a free club that is every Wednesday night throughout the school year! Kidz earn prizes, awards, T-shirts. They will enjoying the energetic music, crafts, games, bible stories, special nights .

When: Every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Free Supper from 5:30 to 5:50 p.m.

Free Community Supper

What: If you are in need of a hot supper please come to Christ Episcopal Church at the beginning of each month where a free community supper is served; NO strings attached.

When: First Saturday of each month starting at 4 p.m.

Where: Christ Episcopal Church, corner of East Fourth and Mulberry streets (1 block east of the James V Brown Library), Williamsport.

Free Clothing

What: The "Montgomery Community Closet" offers free clothing to anyone in the Montgomery School District who has a clothing need. Donations of clean clothing and shoes will also be accepted during this time.

When: 2nd Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Where: Christ Lutheran Church 50 East Houston Avenue, Montgomery.

Free Kids Clothes

What: Free Kid's Clothes from Infants to teenagers. Donations for kid's clothing are accepted at Sojourner Truth Ministry, 501 High Street, Williamsport.  We now distribute clothing at this location.

When: Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 10AM-4PM - closed on Thursday

Where: 501 High Street at the corner of High & Center Streets.


Senior Events...

Senior Citizen Lunches

What: Our Saviour Episcopal Church will be serving senior citizen lunches featuring soup, sandwiches, dessert and coffee. All seniors are welcome!  Free-will donations are accepted.

When: Second Tuesday of the month at noon

Where: At the church, 31 N. Loyalsock Ave, Montoursville.

Free Retiree Lunch

What: Montoursville Presbyterian Church serves lunch for any retirees. All retirees welcome, free-will donations accepted.

When: Fourth Friday of the month at noon.

Neighborhood Watch

What: Brandon Park Neighborhood Watch.

When : First Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. 

Where: At the Bandshell in Brandon Park, Williamsport.

Tai Chi

Kiwanis Club

Support Group
