Lloyd Wilson Chapter of Trout Unlimited Fly Tying Classes
What: The Lloyd Wilson Chapter of Trout Unlimited will be holding their annual fly tying classes starting the end of February.
When: Classes will be held weekly every Thursday evening, starting February 26th and ending March 26th. There will be a total of five classes.
Where: Classes are held upstairs in the Citizen Hose Fire Company in Lock Haven. The cost is one dollar for youths per class and two dollars for adults per class. Classes start at 6:30 p.m. and go to 8:00 p.m. Fly patterns and instructor change weekly during the durations of the classes. For more information on the classes contact Jim Smith at 570-398-1606.

Susquehanna Chapter Trout Unlimited Pine Creek Program
What: The Susquehanna Chapter of Trout Unlimited invites everyone to its meeting at which Dave Wonderlich will be presenting a program on fishing Pine Creek in western Lycoming County and neighboring streams in the Slate Run area, including a description of the change in regulations on Pine Creek which allow all tackle bait fishing, but no-kill restrictions on trout. He will share the history of the "Brown Trout Club,” efforts to restore quality trophy trout populations to Pine Creek, and will give perspectives on techniques and fish conservation initiatives that can significantly improve fishing experiences in this beautiful and popular area. Dave is a knowledgeable local angler who produces the fishing blog and videos on the Slate Run Tackle Shop's website and newsletters. Slate Run Tackle Shop has donated an Orvis mid-arbor fly reel, which will be given away as a door prize at the meeting.
