Brass Bands Concert What: The New York Staff Band (NYSB), one of the foremost brass bands in The Salvation Army, will join The Billtown Brass in an historic free concert . The NYSB was established in 1887 to bring attention to the Salvation Army's early ministry in the United States. In the 1920s the band assumed the current name of the New York Staff Band to denote that its musicians. The Billtown Brass is conducted by Rick Coulter and functions within the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra organization. Admission is free with ticket; donations will be accepted, with "excess funds" to go to the Salvation Army Youth Program. Tickets are available in Williamsport at Otto's Bookstore, Robert M.
